This is my Mother-in-Law’s favorite dessert. I try to make it for her whenever she visits.
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 C. dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 C. white rum
- 3 bananas
- vanilla ice cream
In a nonstick skillet melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir to dissolve. Bring to a boil and stir in the rum. Add the bananas and toss to coat. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the bananas begin to soften. Spoon the bananas and caramel sauce over vanilla ice cream.
